Who Are We? 

Orenda is a company with the mission of providing an incredibly exciting, visually appealing and meaningful education to every child across Pakistan, rich or poor, urban or rural.  The Taleemabad Learning Series is one of the main ways through which we achieve this goal. Our Accomplishments

• We have reached 150,000 children in three years of operations. 

• Now, in the span of 3 months, we’ve been broadcast on multiple channels (including PTV), reaching a cumulative 50 million + children. 

• The Taleemabad Learning App - where the series is housed along with tests/assessments has reached over 300,000 learners and is expected to reach more than one million by December 2020.

• In the past, our work has gotten us recognition from the Queen of England, a feature in the New York Times and Forbes magazine. We’re going places in the next few years, and we want you to join us on the journey.

Job Purpose

The role will be responsible for analyzing the usage patterns of over 150,000 registered users on the Taleemabad Learning App.

If you get hired as a data analyst at Orenda, you will play a pivotal role in the workings of the business. You will be analyzing and interpreting the reasons for changes in user counts, engagement levels, identifying the most popular app features, and helping the business identify which features should be discarded. Essentially, through being the eyes and ears of the organization, you will enable us to improve our product, and ultimately change how learning works for millions of children across the globe.

We’re looking for someone who is young, passionate, hungry and talented, who can step into these shoes and shoulder the responsibility that they bring.

A Typical Day at Work

• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques

• Provide ongoing reports to the rest of the team

• Present own hypotheses and test it using the data available,

• May be given assumptions/hypotheses by team members which will need to be checked against the data to reach a conclusion

Education 

BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics are preferred

Experience 

Minimum 6 months

Knowledge & Skills

• Sound knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks),

• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc),

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
