We are looking for a developer will have at least 4-5 years experience developing ecommerce websites at a commercial level. You should have a great attention to detail, should be great at problem solving and have good communication skills as you will be speaking with the Client Services team in our Agency.

You will be working with project managers and UI/UX designers. You will report to Head of Development. Day-to-day will include mostly working on Shopify stores so you need to understand Shopify platform stack well. This includes back-end and frontend.

Skills and Experience:

• Thorough knowledge of basic coding languages including HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Knowledge of backend languages such as PHP and/or Liquid
• Understanding of the structure of coding languages and how they can be utilised together
• Knowledge and understanding of SQL based database languages such as MySQL and postgreSQL
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly - a platform such as Shopify is constantly evolving and we always aim to bring the newest features to our clients
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Competent in use of version control systems such as Git
• Awareness of web performance best-practice, developing for accessibility and SEO

Nice to haves:

• Experience developing APIs
• Experience integrating with third party APIs - an understanding of the Shopify Admin API would be a big bonus
• Experience with Vue.js or React
• Experience working with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento or Woocommerce
